Default Update

Doing really well with nutrition this week let it slip a little last week, damn those weetabix minis and one too many choccy bars. But I'm right back on track this week, and I'm noticing a big difference in my strength this week too. Push ups are definitely improving, and some exercises I'm lifting 10KG each hand, so pretty chuffed with that. I really needed to get my mind back into the mentality of when choosing food choices, by eating this is this going to get me closer to my goal? NO, well don't eat it then! I've also spent a bit more time visualizing my body how I see it, 6 pack is rockin it! My photos are getting taken a week on Monday so I've got 10 full days to blast the fat! Workout B of 2K4 tonight. Workout from Tuesday night looked like this:

Workout A 2K4

Go through 2 times with no rest between exercises. Rest 30 seconds between circuits.

Forward Lunge – 10 repetitions per side
Pushup – 10 repetitions
Stick-ups – 10 repetitions per side

Warm-up Superset
1A) DB Incline Press – 6 reps using 75% of the weight you’ll use in the “real” sets.
No rest. 7KG each hand

1B) DB Rear-Deltoid Raise – 8 reps using 75% of the weight you’ll use in the “real” sets. 3KG each hand

Rest 1 minute and move on to Superset #1
Superset #1

1A) DB Incline Press – 6 repetitions = 10KG EACH HAND
No rest.
1B) DB Rear-Deltoid Raise – 10 repetitions = 5KG EACH HAND

Rest 1 minute & repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 supersets.

Superset #2
2A) DB Row – 6 repetitions per side = 10KG (this needs to be upped too easy at 10KG lol)
No rest.
2B) DB Floor Press – 8 repetitions = 10KG EACH HAND

Rest 1 minute & repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 supersets.

Superset #3
3A) DB Triceps Extension – 8 repetitions = 5KG EACH HAND
No rest.
3B) DB Incline Curl – 8 repetitions = 7.5KG EACH HAND (I hate these things, I am almost screaming for mercy at the end)

Rest 1 minute & repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 supersets.

I did this quite late so didn't get in any HIIT. I'll definitely be getting some HIIT in tonight. Can't wait to see everyone's results!

Hey Julio, thanks! Hope you're doing well, I've not had much chance to get on here as much as I would have liked. Hopeful that the top two "abs" will at least be poking through time will tell! Cheers, Betty

He he, what I failed to admit was I bought Sugar Puffs instead, I feel like a criminal

At least I portion controlled the puffs! Processed crap though, I am never buying them again!!!!

Don't know what's been wrong with me these days, I'm so close to my goal, need to stick by the rules in the final hurdle! Can't wait to see your progress. Cheers, Betty

Thanks Naomi, I'll definitely post them. I've really struggled with eating too much this last wee while, but I'm back on track now. Really hopeful I can smash this in the final hurdle and get at least the top 2 "abs" poking through. I know what needs to be done, I've re inspired myself by looking at fresh pictures of how my abs are going to look, read some inspirational transformation stories and reprogrammed my brain to just say NO aaaarrrrrgggghhhh. I can do this

Wow sounds like you're doing really great! And your weights are very impressive. 7.5 on the incline curls?! I'm building myself up to 5! 10 days is plenty time to rock those abs

You CAN do it, no doubt about it. That 2K4 is a great workout, and I just know you're gonna kick that sugar to the curb for the rest of the challenge. Now think, really think, what do you want those abs for? Then hook yourself to that intention. The woman with the abs is who you really are.
