![]() I did track in HS and 1st yr of college, threw discus and shot but I did quite a lot of running with the rest of the team too. I used to have a pair of hot pinkish orange running tights and purple ones too, in high school. I think we used to wear boxer shorts over them, it was the early 90s in upstate NY, what else can I say...Thanks for the trip down memory lane! ![]()

1/2T butter or olive oil 1/2 medium red onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 large carrots, diced 1 teaspoon garam masala 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 10 oz box frozen spinach, defrosted (don't drain) 1/2 cup lentils* 1/2 cup brown basmati rice 4 cups water Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In an oven proof dutch oven, heat butter or oil. Add onion, cook 4 minutes. Add garlic, cook 1 minute. Add carrots and seasonings. Cook for a few minutes. Add the spinach and it's liquid and cook for a few minutes. Then add lentils and brown rice. (*The recipe calls for green lentils, but my package just says "lentils" and they are a greenish-tan color.) Stir to mix everything completely. Add the water, put a lid on the dutch oven and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 1 hour and 25 minutes. This makes 4 good sized servings. It freezes and reheats well.

![]() Ignore the title, I meant Day 9!
![]() "I feel you, you're closing down, yeah Get close, talk right through me Get close, keep tight with me If you fall now it could be forever" Subway, by Peter Murphy For the first week, my nutrition went along swimmingly. Then on Sunday I had a treat meal. I read somewhere that after you eat a high fat meal you can crave fatty foods for the next 3 days, and I'm pretty sure that's what is going on here. I have been so itchy and snack-y! Last night I made 2 different kinds of treats for a bakesale/fundraiser at work. I made black bean brownies as a "healthy" treat, and chewy-o's as an "unhealthy" treat. I let the kids sample a little of each and my son preferred the chewy-o's, but my daughter preferred the brownies. I am curious to see which ones sell better today. ![]() If I forgot to mention it, weights listed are per hand, unless it's obviously a BB or BW exercise. Today's Workout TT for Meatheads V - Workout B Superset #1 DB chest press (30 lbs) 3x10 Chin up with knee up (BW) 3x10* Superset #2 EZ bar close grip press (48 lbs) 3x8** Hanging knee raise (BW) 3x12 Superset #3 Decline push ups (BW) 3x15 [beginner] underhand inverted row (BW) 3x15 *Did chin up with knee up for as many as I could and finished set with just knee ups **Both BB's were in use so I grabbed an EZ bar for the set Intervals 4 minute warm up 24 seconds hard, 36 seconds easy x 6 2 minute cool down

![]() Funny you mentioned that, Rob. I've considered getting the individual Justin's nut butter packets from Whole Foods going forward b/c I can't seem to control myself around a jar of nut butter. To easy to go back for spoon after spoon. Boy is that stuff tasty! Almond butter, peanut butter, macadamia nut butter, cashew butter...Mmmmm... ;-)
