Smile The Final Countdown

Ok guys I picked my title for a few reasons:

1. Countdown to trip home, UK in 5 weeks - super excited and super homesick

2. Countdown to the best body I can get - super excited but feel self doubt creeping in.

3. Countdown to finding that inner peace and believing in myself

4. Countdown to Christmas - because I just love Christmas!!

I finished contest 11 on a super high and being placed 1st was just the best, but I have been here before and after contest 9 I let things slip and regained some of the weight.

But not this time, this time around I am getting right back into it and continuing the TT journey.

I am really pleased that since finishing contest 11 I have maintained my weight, despite not being able to train with TT for 2 weeks due to illness, and also attending lots of social functions. (strange how illness doesn't stop me partying!!)

My weight has fluctuated a little, but on the whole it has stayed pretty constant, so now I need to get back to contest mode

I am really happy to see so many familiar faces joining contest 12 and am looking forward to meeting some new TTers along the way as well.

My asthma is playing up at the moment, so am finding the interval training a bit hard going, but I plan to do 2 more weeks of the Big 6, then look for another TT program.

Goals for 6 weeks:

1. lose 5lb
2. lose body fat - not really sure how much as not sure what's possible in 6 weeks?
3. increase strength - do 6 chin ups in a row
4. fit in size UK 8 jeans comfortably

TT programs:

Big 6 - for another 2 weeks
BDHC - I think

I actually head home to the UK mid way through this contest so that will be challenging as will be travelling around staying with people all over the UK. I am not sure how I will fit in my TT but it will be somewhere.

For the first few days we will be recoving from jet lag but are staying in hotel and going to Legoland, so I will be able to train in the hotel. After that we will be staying with my brother, who luckily does have a gym in his house so that will be great. From there on it will be tricky, but will work something out.

Really looking forward to getting to know everyone. I took photos and measurments yesterday so I will post those later as I am at work right now.

Cheers for now Katie

Hey thanks Guys for my good home heading wishes! I will be looking out for the red carpet and the sounds of Clares music

My official start date was Sunday, took the photos and did the measurements, but need to post them on here, just never seem to have time when I get home, other things take over!

I ended up at Docs last night with my asthma, had to be put on nebuliser and am now on steroids, I felt pretty grotty after the neb so I didn't make the gym last night, really bad headache and extremely tired. Asthma does that, just wipes you out.

As a result (probably more an excuse if I am honest) my eating also went a a bit astray.....

Anyhow, today is another day and I am making a commitment to:

1. log food every day on myfitness pal
2. avoid eating my home baked goodies
3. drink more water

I have been awake since 3am, so got up at 4.30am to go to the gym. Not sure if that was the right thing with my asthma being tricky, but I needed to do something.

Did workout C from Big 6. to be honest I did feel quite breathless after doing 2 sets of the supersets, but I managed to get through 3. Thought about giving the interval training a miss, but I just took it down a notch and got through it.

I will see how I go for the next day or 2, I can go back to Docs any time for another Neb, and I am now taking oral steroids so that should help too. (not the bodybuilding type in case anyone is thinking that!!)

Food so far today:

porridge/skim milk
grapes
carrot sticks
rye bread/tuna/salad

dinner will be stir fry veg/chicken
fruit

tomorrow I will do yoga and/or foam roller, or walk, depending on weather.

Hubby is away for a few days so I can't go to gym until Thursday again which works out OK, I should be better with my asthma by then.

OK that's all for now. Will try to post piccies/stats later.

Cheers for now

Keep Smiling Katie
