Hold On, by Sarah McLachlan It's been a long time since I had to do deadlifts and I really feel it today! ![]() Today's Workout TT for Meatheads V - Workout B Superset #1 DB chest press (25 lbs) 3x10 Chin up with knee up (BW) 3x10* Superset #2 BB close grip press (45/45/50 lbs) 3x8 Hanging knee raise (BW) 3x12 Superset #3 Decline push ups (BW) 3x10 [beginner] underhand inverted row (BW) 3x15 *Did chin up with knee up for as many as I could and finished set with just knee ups Intervals 4 minute warm up 24 seconds hard, 36 seconds easy x 6 2 minute cool down

Man in the Mirror, by Michael Jackson Day off today. I've been thinking about my goals for these next 12 weeks: 1. Remain focused 2. Goal weight: 135-140 lbs 3. Follow Simple Nutrition rules 4. Eat vegetarian for 2 days per week 5. Kids in bed by 8:00, so I can have time to myself and then be in bed by 10:00 ![]() Today's Menu breakfast: oatmeal with ground flax lunch: leftover lentil casserole, slice of flax bread, apple snack: plain yogurt with blueberries and cherries dinner: turkey meatloaf with mashed cauli/taters, applesauce

Superset #3 DB chest supported row (15lbs) 3x12 [Assisted] 3/4 dips (30/30/40lbs*) 3x15 EZ bar bicep curl (31lbs) 3x10 *Weight listed is the assisted counterweight Intervals 5 min warm up 24 secs hard, 36 secs easy x6 5 min cool down Today's Menu breakfast: oatmeal with ground flax lunch: leftover lentil casserole, slice of flax bread, pear snack: apple, 1 oz almonds dinner: quinoa with marinara, slice of flax bread with butter and garlic, broccoli, grapes

Yep, I've been eating less meat in general, and one of my goals this contest is to eat vegetarian 2 full days per week. I love the particular recipe I have been using for lentil casserole - it has lentils, brown basmati rice and spinach. Yum!

What You Waiting For?, by Gwen Stefani On Saturdays I am continuing to run 3-5 miles because I am running a 5K race later this month. I was all ready to go running outside this morning, and then I opened up my door...and it was raining. ![]() Soooo....I went to the gym and ran 5K on the treadmill. Wearing my running tights. I don't mind wearing them outside and people just pass me by, but on the treadmill I felt like people were staring at my rear end the whole time. Those running tights don't hide anything, lol. Today's Menu breakfast/post workout: 1 scoop whey, granola bar lunch: turkey sub sandwich on wheat snack(s): banana, almonds, cashew butter on a wasa cracker dinner: tuna melt on flax bread, vegetable soup

![]() If they wanna look, let them. ;-) I know I love my compression shorts for running and powerwalking. I think I'm finally getting over the "I can't believe I'm wearing 'spandex'" complex and worrying if my hips look gianormous in them. They don't pull or shift and I don't chafe. I wish I'd gotten 'round to wearing them eons ago. :-)
