I admire your dedication and wish you the best!
Thanks so much for dropping by Shannon - I appreciate your comments and support.

How is your fasting going? As you said, it must be very hard not to even drink water when it's so hot.... keep strong, your attitude is inspiring......
Cheers,
Yes we will! Like I said on your thread, it's great to see you back in the forums and in this contest - we've missed you!

The fasting is going okay - it's the last few days now and they seem to go by quite quickly. But I'm physically tired (Ramadhan can be very disruptive to one's sleep) and am looking forward to getting back to a regular routine again.

Waleed I thought I would let you know that Husein Abdullah won the starting safety position for the vikings during training camp, and he played last night. Pretty inspirational for any Muslim athletes who's performance takes a hit during Ramadan.

I Googled Husein Abdullah after your last post and found an article about him on ESPN. I forwarded it on to friends and family who were really impressed too (my father-in-law is a huge American sports fan and is an avid follower of the NFL, NBA and MLB - despite recent unfortunate events, maybe we all do have more in common with each other than we think )

Husein Abdullah wasn't the only one that Ramadhan was good to - I managed to drop 2Kg (4.4 lb)
