We both know how to lose weight but the mind can get the better of us! This has helped me understand why I was sabotaging my efforts - I have been on a 16 week bender (so to speak). I am back on the wagon and don't plan on ever coming off again - ever! I can't wait to see you reach your goals! Happy days, Lisa
Rebel Diet- got it! Sounds like a winner.

Hi Catherine and Jami

sorry for the "theft" but I decided that I had to make this photo my facebook profile photo!

Very, very profound and powerful. And I'm looking forward to seeing powerful transformations from both of you. You're both very inspiring and show that not doing is just making excuses.

Default Trainer Shape Thyself

Yes, I'm roaring!

The TT fitness is a given so what's the nutrition plan?

I'm going with nutrition, meets volume, meets satisfaction.

I still believe in the the old "nothing out of a bag or a box" axiom, and I'll add, "I built this body on a bed of vegetables." Looking back, the food plan that kept me sane and gave results went like this in order of servings:

Green Leafy Vegetables
All other non-starchy vegetables
Lean Protein (Chicken,fish,beef,eggs)
fruit
low fat dairy
trigger free grains and starches (Ezekiel bread, sweet potato, oat bran)
Oils (Coconut, Olive)
Plus condiments like balsamic vinegar, mustard, and salsa.

"Occasion" foods: Wine, chocolate

My resting metabolism isn't all that high at 5'1", 124 pounds (as of today) at age 47.
By keeping lots of volume in my food plan I can be satisfied with 1200 Kcal during the week, and I'll move up to 1550 on the weekends to cover a glass of wine and a... hmmm, I'm not sure what to call it. Not a cheat, not a treat, an enhancement? Fun food? Variety moment? Sheesh what to call it? Oh well, I'll think about it.

Going to Vegas Oct. 13th. This is major incentive to stay on the ball and not mess around.

Entering on the 9th, so see you then!

Hi Lioness! Your meal plan sounds like mine! Nothing out of the box or bag! Natural foods! When I eat this way I feel wonderful! Then when I slip up and get lazy it tummy issues and I start looking bad (skin hair etc.) Keep up the good work!

I just read an article by a doctor who says wheat is major stumbling block for losing weight. I love shredded wheat and wheat is the only ingredient. Have you read anything like that??..........if I remember, I think Isablel thinks along those lines...........

I'd use multi quote but I can't be bothered...

1. I've heard many bad things about wheat. I should give it up, but I love bread. Hmmm...

Cliff Richard doesn't eat wheat and he is in decent shape for a 150 year old. If you don't know who Cliff Richard is, count yourself lucky.

2. That cat looked awesome. I really want another cat.

3. Vegaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
