Hi Gilbert,
I have been on the XFLD for 24 days now and have had some real good results with it!
The Fast Days and Shake Days are a little tough, but I look forward to Cheat Day every 5 days.
I will be sending in my pics and final #'s on Tues. June 28th.
I'm surprised no one else replied to your question??

Good luck,
S

Hello,

I literally just finished XFLD yesterday and here are some of my personal results as well as a mini review and some reflections.

I am a male, age 40, 5'11". As recently as this February 2010 I weighed 219.5 lbs with a >30 BMI (yes, obsese), but started eating right, & working out and participated in an office biggest loser contest where I ended up finishing in 3rd place overall out of 25 participants.

So by Memorial Day 5/31, which is the same day I started XFLD, I was 30 lbs lighter, weighing 189 lbs & 26.5% bodyfat according to the Tanita scale I am using.

As of this AM, 6/25 I am now 184 lbs and 22.7% bodyfat. Essentially this is the best shape I have been in since I did a Body For Life transformation back in 2003.

I am pretty proud of myself, but no way am I quitting now or resting on my laurels. I'm looking for my 40s to become my most healthy decade ever, and so I'm starting right in today on Craig's TT intermediate level workout program to see how much farther I can go. I would love to get to 11% bodyfat, and to also gain several more pounds of lean muscle in the process.

By my calculations, I did lose about 9 lbs. of fat and gained about 3 lbs. of muscle on XFLD. To me, and at this juncture in my life and training, I thought those were awesome results for just a 25 day program.

The XFLD program is both intense and extreme, and I have to say that I did experience some bad constipation as well. I think this is because the dietary methods are so unusual, and it you're not careful, I think you can easily become depleted of and deficient in dietary fiber. Especially on the so called "depletion" day. So be careful. Eat as many high fiber free veggies as you can, no matter what.

Other than that the workouts are just fantastic. It is very challenging but definitely also very active, fast moving, and fun - never boring. I think the transition to TT from XFLD should be very smooth as it seems that philosophy of training is very similar.

I am happy to now be returning my body to a more "balanced" diet and am hopeful that I can continue to get excellent results as the pounds do seem to be getting much tougher for me to shed as rapidly at this point as when I first began.

Wish me continued good luck and I hope this post is helpful to others.

Default Xfld

I'm just finishing Day Eight which is the Shake Day. The Fast Days are tough, especially when you're doing the workouts, but I'm absolutely wiped out by the Shake Day. Totally depleted and like a limp rag after my intervals. Don't like that at all.

Enjoying the workouts, they slot in pretty well with my current fitness commitments.

Agree with one of the other comments about constipation - got to be really mindful of keeping up the veggies and salads. Otherwise, yep, its only 25 days!

I lost 1.5kg in my first five day cycle - my 18 year old son lost 2.5kg. Let's see where it ends up.
