Talking

I have to share this because I am really happy with myself for this accomplishment.

I ran my first 5k race with no walking what-so-ever.
It just happened that the Mrs. and I ended up together in the pack and we just stuck it out together. It was a good thing because my wall came around the 2 mile mark and her's the 3. So we were able to both push each other through it.

I was riding the craziest runner's high for the next 5 hours after. She was mildly entertained!

Time was 36:38... lots of room for improvement, but, hey you can't get anywhere with out know where you are right now!

Yeah it took me a bit a playing around to notice it would make me significantly fatter if my thighs touched... goes to show the unfortunate failability of those scales.

Thank you for the encouragement Catherine. Your success has been most inspiring!

I just wanted to pop on here and let everyone know I'm not down, nor out!
I've been swamped with work and life lately so I'm focusing my time on getting my workouts in. (even if i forget my gym clothes, I got a workout in with my work clothes on!)

I'm looking forward to seeing everyones results for the 6 week contest wrapping up shortly.

Keep going everyone!

Default 6 Week results

I can't believe it's been 6 weeks already. It has gone all to fast.
I've hit one of my goals that I really needed to knock out. I'm under 230 pounds for the first time in 7+ years. WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO

Here are the quick stats before I pop up some photos.
Edit: I'm having problems getting stats to show up correctly so please forgive me in advance.
_______________Start____6 Weeks__Change
Chest___________47.5____45.25_____-2.25
Waist___________48______44_______-4
Hips____________46______44.5______-1.5
Right Arm_______16______15.5______-0.5
Left Arm________15.25____15_______-0.25
Right Thigh______25______26_______+1
Left Thigh_______25______26_______+1
Right Calf_______16.75___16.25_____-0.5
Left Calf________16.5____16.25_____-0.25
Weight_________243_____229.4____-13.6
BF %__________28.3_____23.8_____-4.5

I've been really happy with the progress so far! I'm looking for at least another 10 pounds by the end! That will really set me up nice for my goal of getting to 210 pounds!
