Day 7 of 84

Today was an off day. I wanted to go to the gym but we were having a snowstorm so I stayed home.
I did the morning yoga routine on my Wii Fit I then spent over half an hour shoveling snow making sure to squat to lift to protect my back from injury.

Day 9 of 84

I am home sick today. Trying to finally shake these colds that I have had all through the holidays. I got my yoga on the Wii Fit in still but it was more difficult. I am also trying to get my 180 g of protein. It is tough.

Good Luck Andrew.......

I see you are doing Meatheads, I love that workout. I especially like 8 Week
Mass Training. I believe that is one of my favourites of all the Mass workouts..

The TK10 looks good and am starting with that....

Cheers

Hey Andrew, I haven't been in the forums much so I had to ask - why do fight with swords? Maybe a stupid question but had to ask

I know what you mean about the Wii Fit. I tried it on Christmas eve while I was at my parent's house and I really liked it. They give you feedback and you can open new exercises. Just can't justify the cost of buying one when I have all the TT workouts at my disposal.

Good luck!

The Wii Fit was the big gift for my wife, which ironically I am using more than her. Oh well.

Why fight with swords? Actually they are wooden sticks (rebated blades is what they called them in the middle ages) so it is a blunt contact sport. The swords are a minimum 1 1/4 inch diameter rattan. The reason is it is a fun sport that allows one to dress up in armour and test your skill against others. It has the one-on-one martial aspect of boxing without the injuries and also in melees (3 to 1000 people per side) it has the group fun of rugby etc. I have always had an interest in the Middle Ages and the Knightly class so this combines those interests into a modern sport with many fun social aspects. I met my wife while attending a large fighting event in PA. She was living in CA at the time.

This is my second go around with MH as I did them both last summer. I have lost strength over the fall (trip to France was a killer for that) so I am going over old ground. I played around with 8 week mass but never finished that program. I will have to look at 2K10.

Hey I just noticed a typo in my much earlier post about fighting being a motivation to get into the gym. I wrote 'to find people 30 years younger than me'. Boy that sounds creepy. I meant to 'fight' people 30 years younger than me. (Since corrected the original post). One of the great things about my sport is that there are no age or gender categories. I fight folks from 16 to 65 and both Lord and Ladies.
