Wow, I was surprised to see how easily the fat gets re-deposited at the waistline! 31.5 inches is really impressive, and I know you're going to get it right back there.

I know that as my business became busier I lost my definition. I realize now that what I do in my classes doesn't count. As a matter or fact it may count against me. What matters is what I do in The gym.

Is it the same for you perhaps?

Yes it kinda just creeps back in left unchecked.

My downfall is purely diet related. My training has been good but I've let way to many contraband items back into my diet on a regular basis.

I've been stressed with all that's going on in the past few months and have used the end of work day glass of wine (or 10) as panacea and that usually comes with the usual alcohol related snacks. Just removing this will make a massive difference.

Although my entry date is the 28/08 today is the day my quest begins in earnest.

I really looking forward to cleaning things up and making some real progress.

I'm going to weigh myself weekly and take a waistline measurement weekly as well just to make sure things are moving in the right direction.

I'm considering going liquor free for this one. I can't bring myself to make the commitment though!

Default Day 5

So my campaign started in earnest today after a weekend of less than perfect behavior. My friends 40th got out of hand and so did the junk food recovery food. This was all planned for and now I begin my journey.

I'm not going to track calories at this stage but may adjust this if I find I'm not making fast enough progress.

Diet looked like this:

7am - bulletproof coffee
1pm - protein shake (2 scoops wpi, 1/2 banana, blueberries, kale, water)
3.30pm - quest bar
7pm - portuguese style chicken, broccoli salad, curry cashew coconut rice, 2 pieces of 85% dark chocolate, 1 apple, NO BOOZE!

I did workout A of Metabolic Twist

1a) DB Press (rest pause) - 30kg x 8/6, 8/6, 8/6
1b) 1-arm DB Row (rest pause) - 36kg x 8/7, 8/7, 8/6

2a) DB Incline Press (with band) - 22.5kg x 10 x 3
2b) DB CSR - 25kg x 12 x 1, 22.5kg x 12 x 2
2c) Band RDR - 10 x 3 - band was enough here. Didn't use DB's

3a) 90% CG Pushups - 20/16/16
3b) 1-arm farmers walk - 32kg x 30 sec x 3 per side
3c) Med ball slams - 10kg x 20 x 3

Till tomorrow then

wpi = whey protein isolate

Have done 2 quest bars in the past with nil negative effects. What happened to you? Or shouldn't I ask?

Default Day 6

Early start today. Up at 5.15am to get some stuff done before I trained a client. Then I hit up workout B of Metabolic Twist.

1a) Narrow Stance BB Squat - 80kg x 12 x 4
1b) Chinup with kneeup - 10/9/8/8

2a) BB Split Squat (weak side) - 50kg x 15 x 3
2b) Renegade Row - 16kg x 10 x 3 per side
2c) BB Split Squat (strong side) - 50kg x 15 x 3

3a) DB RDL - 20kg x 20 x 4
3b) TRX assisted pistol squat - bw x 10 x 4 per side
3c) Bear Crawl - bw x 15 x 4 per side

I actually made it through the whole workout today. Let's see how the legs pull up tomorrow though.

Diet was on track.

5.45 - bulletproof coffee
10am - protein shake (wpi, banana, cacao, maca, kale)
2pm - apple with almond butter, greek yogurt with protein powder
7pm - beef tostadas (grass fed eye fillet, wholemeal tortilla, avocado, tomato, coriander etc etc) very tasty! 2 pieces of 85% dark chocolate

It was very liberating going shopping this afternoon and not stopping in at the bottleshop on the way out.

Feeling tired this evening. Time for an early night. No training tomorrow. I've got Lili for the day so will be have a nice father/daughter day. I'll get up early though and get a few things done before she wakes up.

You probably shouldn't. Did you know that there are 17 g of fiber in ONE quest bar? There is.
