Default Day 8 Workout 5/25 Week 1 29.12.2013

I got stuck into today's workout around 9:30am...it was tough. I am loving the kettlebell workout; I'm finding it to be physically demanding and challenging.

I ended off today's workout with another 4 minute miracle.

Workout # 5: Squat-Climb-Squat

1A Narrow-Stance Bodyweight Squat x 20 seconds
1B Hold the bottom squat position x 10 seconds

Repeat two more times, then without rest, go to 2A:

2A Alternating Spiderman Pushup x 20 seconds
2B Mountain Climber x 10 seconds
Repeat 1 more time, then without rest, repeat 1A & 1B three more times.

These are equally tough and demanding. I am well impressed with where my fitness is at at the moment .

Default Day 9 Workout 1/25 Week 2 30.12.2013

I had a family day out today...spent some much needed time time with the family. I squeezed my workout in at 9:30am this morning. It was a repeat of day 1 workout. I found it tough and challenging. These kettlebell workouts are no joke.

After my workout I did a 4 minute miracle Workout # 1: The 4-Minute Leg Muscle Miracle

1A 1-Minute Punisher Squat — 20 seconds, 10 second hold in bottom position
1B 2-Minute Switch Lunge
1C 1-Minute Punisher Squat — 20 seconds, 10 second hold in bottom position

I was absolutely buggered after my workout...and the soreness I've got going on in my glutes from the kettlebell workout had me sweating on the switch lunge.

Tomorrow is a day off...I'll mow the lawn nice and early and have an easy day tomorrow.

Default Day 10

The weather was good...overcast and humid but temps not too bad. I decided to mow the lawn at around 8am. It took just over 3 hrs to do front and back yard. The council land in front of the house took the longest to do as its the largest lawn...part of owning a corner house.

I am not sure how many green ants bit me while mowing the lawn...they are nasty little buggers when their nests are disturbed. I managed to find 7 in the front, hopefully I have taken care of them...I will check again on the weekend on their activity and see if they need another round granules.

I went out for dinner with the family...Thai as usual, I was in bed by 11:45pm so didn't see the news years in as usual.

I really need to start focusing on my nutrition, well the chocolates. I have been consuming far to much on a daily basis since Christmas.

These workouts have been kicking my butt, literally. The muscle soreness I have been experiencing in my glutes for the last few day has been challenging on its own .

Default Day 11 Workout 2/25 Week 2 01.01.2014

A fairly relaxing day today...I ended up buying a new oven and stove top as the ones that came with the house needed replacing.

I squeezed my workout in at 10:030am this morning. It was a repeat of day 2's workout. I am loving these kettlebell workouts .

I then added a 4 minute Metabolic Miracle Workout # 2: The 4-Minute Max Rep Miracle

1A 1-Minute Pushup (max reps) - 40 Total
1B 1-Minute Total Body Extension (max reps) - 52 Total
1C 1-Minute Mountain Climber (max reps) - 50 Total
1D 1-Minute Total Body Extension (max reps) - 50 Total

These 4 minute metabolic miracles are a lot tougher than what they appear on paper.

Default Day 13 03.01.2014

Today was an off day...I ended up going with the kids to watch Walking with Dinosaurs. I found it to be a pretty good family orientated movie. Ciarán, my son absolutely loved it...he is only 3 1/2yrs.

It got as hot as 40*C here today...the heat was fairly dry too so felt absolutely hot. Tomorrow is suppose to be even hotter.

Default Day 14 04 Jan 2014

Another off day today...by midday it was 42*C and the thermometer was still climbing...and there was a hot dry wind blowing again that made the heat unbearable.

My family and myself took refuge in a shopping centre to make use of the air conditioning. It was just to hot to be outside. Tomorrow is my last day of leave and then back to work...I can't wait to get back into my routine...I find it to difficult to stay on track with a young family.

Monday...Nutrition will be back on track. I have been eating far to much sweets, chocolates and puddings.

My waist measurement is sitting at 84.7mm, its crept up a bit on me over the festive season. I will try bring it back down to 83mm or below over the next couple weeks once my nutrition is back in check.
