Hey Peter,

I went through the same thing. Did you get the Bowflex set?

Yea, I was going to get the Powerblocks since they are cheaper, but the Bowflex were on sale a few months ago so I went with those. I'm really happy with them but for some of these supersets (like DB row / DB incline bench) switching would be a pain, so I try to pick a weight that works well for both.

That makes 3 of us doing TT2K3. I like it allot as we don't have to do any dreaded split squats or reverse lunges. I know I can't get away from them forever but it's nice having a break for now.

All the best on your continued transformation.

Hey, Peter. Looks you're doing great so far. I have adjustable DBs as well and I thought I'd never break past the 75lb limit. Now, I'm saving my pennies for the upgrade set to take them to 120. This stuff cost a fortune...

Best of luck - keep it up!

Back atcha Keith, John, and Gerry. I think we have a pretty good group going...

Back to TT2K3 Workout B
1a DB Forward Lunge (3x8x40)
1b Side Plank (3x30s)
2a DB RDL (3x8x45)
2b SB Jackknife (3x15)
3a DB Step Ups (3x8x45)
3b SB Leg Curl (3x15)

I felt more comfortable with the SB stuff this time. Overall focusing on form. My back has historically given me problems, so even though it feels OK now, I'm not really pushing the lunges squats and deadlifts in terms of weight. Doing my best to get the full range of motion and slow eccentric phases. My grip strength seems to be improving as well.

Nutrition has been pretty clean the last couple of days. Not perfect, but no fast food and eating more nuts and raw vegatables for snacks.

Didn't mean to count you out, Ion!

Rest day. Was on call for work last night so didn't do my usual morning workout. I plan to do some light cardio this evening after the kids are in bed. I'm feeling really good these days in term of energy and strength. Will plan a weigh in for 1 week stats this weekend.

So got my workout in - Bodyweight Cardio Circuit 3
Got the blood flowing, amazing what some simple moves organized correctly can do.
Now I gotta get some sleep. Super busy day at work tomorrow. Keep it going everyone!

Weighed in after 1 week of TT2K3

Age 45
Height 5'8"

Weight 161.4 ---> 158.0
BF% 15.2 ---> 14.5
BMI 24.5 ---> 23.3

BF was estimated by my scale so I'm not sure about the exact value, but numbers are consistent from day to day and so I think the loss of BF is likely real. Good to get some good feedback from the numbers after such a short period of time.
