Default I never, ever, EVER give up

After a really rocky last few months, as promised, I'm back for TC11 and determined more than ever to make this the best transformation contest ever.

The political unrest, rioting and chaos that we experienced in Bahrain is now* an unpleasant memory and thankfully, life has returned to normal, pretty much the way things have always been.

With all that was going on in the country during this time, it was very difficult for me to concentrate on anything other the events and ensuring the safety and security of my family and employees and so, this led to my decision to withdraw from TC10. The stress, combined with poor eating, virtually no activity and poor sleep have set me back and I've gained a few pounds and become quite sedentary.

But, as it says in the title of my thread - inspired by one of Craig's signature phrases - I don't give up and am going to make up for lost time in this contest.

I'm planning to start on 7 May and finish on 29 July. I've started preparations well in advance this time so that I am ready to start the contest at full speed. I've been working on my goals and affirmations and making lots of notes on what I want to achieve. I've become more conscientious about eating right and started working out so so far, everything seems to be going well. I'm eating mostly vegetarian during the week and only eating meat on the weekend. As I've been off the workouts for a while, I'm doing the Hotel Room workouts to get the muscles working again and I'm enjoying running intervals. I'm going through the different workout manuals and I will decide on my workout strategy for the contest by next week.

I'm really optimistic about this contest and I 'feel' in a different state of mind, one that is more determined than ever to succeed.

And I'm also looking forward to reconnecting with the other forum members and contest participants.

This is going to be the one!

Good luck Waleed. I'm glad you and your family are safe after all that's been happening.
