![]() Thanks, Craig. It's always good to remember that this is truly a journey and not the end-point!

![]() Thank you, Rob! It really helps to get the work out done when you are accountable to someone else (and vice versa)!

But first of all, GREAT results from the contest!!! You look terrific and must be really happy with your progress. So back to fasting... do you ever have any fatigue, dizziness, "brain fog" during your fasts?

As far as fasting goes, I have never experienced any brain fog, fatigue or dizziness. In fact, I often have more energy during the fasts and an amazing ability to focus for long periods of time. It's actually quite interesting. I'd be curious what the research shows since this is just my own personal experience. I've had a rough few days on my end (well, not me - my son). You'd think after the crazy start to our year with one child hospitalized for meningitis and the other out sick the following week with severe strep throat that we'd have filled our quota for the year on illness/hospital/emergency care. Not the case, I am sad to say! My 8 year old had an accident on his bike on Sunday night and knocked a permanent tooth out. Completely out. One of the beautiful top front teeth. Through much blood and screaming, we realized it was missing and my husband did find it. So we washed it off and per instructions we found online, my husband put it back in! It was level with the other tooth, so according to the dentist that was fine. On Monday morning my son was taken to the dentist, they did x-rays and found a small fracture in the jaw which should mend on its own. The tooth appears to have sensitivity, meaning at the moment the nerves are intact and functional. The hope is that it will heal fine, but the likelihood is that at some point he will need a root canal. The hope is that the jaw bone will heal right and the tooth will heal right so that there is no need later for a bone graft (ouch). He has temporary braces on now for a few weeks and obviously can't bite on his front teeth. Food is being pulverized for him to eat. He's on antibiotics to avoid an infection. And he will need a mouth guard to protect the tooth. Who would have thought that when I said, "do you want to eat dinner now or go outside to play for a while?" that I should have just fed him or been a mean mother and said he needed to stay in. Such is life, I guess. I'm feeling a little better now that he has seen the dentist and the specialist (bone/root canal doctor) but it's still a bit depressing to think about given the uncertainty. And of course it is all just a waiting game. I am not the most patient person in the world, but I have learned patience as I have aged and when that's the only option, well, that's just the only option. I am hopeful all will be well!

![]() I hope your family gets to feeling better. A house full of sick children and adults is never fun.
I know I am a rather impatient person as well. My hubby has helped a lot over the years and I would say while I am still not the most patient person in the world I have improved ![]() Hang in there ![]() Shawn |
