Default Hi I'll consider myself new here

Hi there guys,

Never really thought of digging this forums but I just figured out , it was one great community!

i'm Francisman, and Is it ok if I ask a lot of questions about fitness here? Unlike before that I take health for granted and as a hobby, I have recently indulged deeply into fitness + diet.

Saw Craig's bodybuilding article about shoulders and said "Man thats dope"

so Im back as a student, And joining the current 27th Contest. Thank you Craig!

Default Protein powder weird

Past week was weird...
I drank too much protein powder and felt sick... really sick for 5 days.
I Targeted at least 98G of protein per day, from protein shake. Shake consists only of water and protein powder, consumed it in one sittiing, I started to felt dizzy, then felt heavy legs, less energy eventually got heavy headache. I got weak, eventually caught fever.

Then I check what happened. things I did, food I took. Boils down to the new culprit: me taking whey isolate protein powder.

Then I read this:
http://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supp...y/hrb-20060532

I have no problem with the brand, only the dose. I drank it without any activity that day, worse is that I kept on drinking the shake when I felt sick.

I stopped drinking any beverages: coffee, juice, soda, and protein powder shake, and within 48 hours headache was gone.

"Too much" - 12 TBSP of protein powder, equivalent to 92 grams protein IN ONE SITTING. Bottom's up style.

Days later I felt fine, worked out and this time, I tend to drink by sipping it intemittently within an hour after a workout..

30g at a time is the right dose.

Otherwise you just have expensive urine - and other side effects.

Take care!
