TC 8 5 of 84 Saturday 8, 2010

Today I was at my lightest and thinnest ever this year, 76.5 kg and 87. 5 cm. Highest recorded this year were 83.1 kg and 94 cm. I am dropping the fat due to improved nutrition.

Today was an off day so I did my morning Wii Fit routine. During the day I was at a medieval event where I did not fight. Instead I was very busy walking all over the place. During the evening after the event I was carrying lots of things cleaning up so I think I got more than 30 minutes of activity.

Today was hard for nutrition being away from home and a feast in the evening. There was fresh fruit available to be during the day and I stayed away from the beer. Some cream cheese stuff mushrooms were too tempting. I made sure that I ate my Craig Ballantyne apple.

In the evening we had a medieval feast and I was sitting head table so I had to have a bit of everything so I tried to manage portion size. Here was the menu;

Fish Day

Herb Salat
Barley Bread (my wife made this the night before)
Carrot Soup
Green Peas Royal
Frumentry (barley dish)
Herring (just a little bit as too many bones for my liking)
Mussels
Duck
Beaver Tails (pastry)

Feast Day

Fresh White Bread with Honey Butter, very tasty. My wife unfortunately put a large piece on my plate when I was away at another table
Roast Lamb w Mint Sauce and Cameline Sauce
Asparagus (this had some butter) which I love so I ate a lot of it.
Mockatrice (Chicken stuffed with pork loin, apricots, prunes)
Spinach and cheese tart (I never did taste this.
(Nut loaf available to Vegetarians) - this was nice as my wife shared some with me.
Marzipan and Cookies - just a small piece of marzipan.

I did drink two beers in the evening at the feast. Back home I drank a cider and lots of water. Stayed up way too late.

TC 8 6 of 84 Sunday 9, 2010

Today I was going to hit the gym. Unfortunately I awoke exhausted and I was busy with house guests and then unpacking from Saturday. I did yard work so I certainly got in 30 minutes of activity.

My weight shot up from yesterday, 80.7 kg (+4.2 kg) and 89 cm (up 1.5 cm). I suspect some of that may be due to lots of water last night. Gym tomorrow. Missing today will mess up my schedule but I will get it on track somehow.

TC 8 7 of 84 Monday 10, 2010
Today I did my delayed TT Addicition 'C' workout. It was suppose to have been done on Sunday but I was too tired.

On that note I slept for around 8 1/2 hours last night and I had a hard time waking up. Normally I do not have that problem. I also felt tired in the gym.

I struggled with the pull-ups. I am also new burpees and they are tough. A good challenge.

Today being the starting day I did 2 minute intervals with 2 minute rests. Below I have listed the challenge workout as it is suppose to be done (sometime next week).

So here is how I did

Total Score
= Pushups + Squats + (2xPullups) + Burpees + Rows + Lunges + (Plank Seconds/2) + Swings
I did 45 pushups, 49 squats, 7 pullups, 14 burpees, 28 rows, 20 lunges, 73 seconds ball plank, and 32 swings.

Score = 45+49+(2x7)+14+28+20+(36/2)+32 = 238

I have a long way to go, even with more time to catch Craig Ballantyne's score of 706

Day 5 – Advanced Workout C – Addiction Bodyweight Challenge
• Start with the general bodyweight warm-up circuit
• In week 1, do only TWO minutes for each exercise. You need a practice round!
• Do each exercise for the given time based on the Challenge Rules.
1) 3-Minute Pushups
• Rest 2 minutes.
2) 5-Minute Squats
• Rest 2 minutes.
3) 3-Minute Pull-ups
• Rest 2 minutes.
4) 3-Minute Burpees
• Rest 2 minutes.
5) 3-Minute Bodyweight Rows
• Rest 2 minutes.
6) 3-Minute Walking Lunges
• Rest 2 minutes.
7) 3-Minute Stability Ball Plank
• Rest 2 minutes.
8) 5-Minute Kettlebell Swings (Men = 35lbs; Women = 18lbs)
Total Score
= Pushups + Squats + (2xPullups) + Burpees + Rows + Lunges + (Plank Seconds/2) + Swings
Example: I did 114 pushups, 165 squats, 30 pullups, 28 burpees, 47 rows, 74 lunges, 102 seconds ball plank, and 167 swings.
CB’s Score = 114+165+(2x30)+28+47+74+(102/2)+167
= 114+165+(60)+28+47+74+(51)+167
= 706

Seeing as how you are on day 7 and Craig is on day 2650 something (IDK 4 real But"). I think you are doing well and had a great show of it today...

TC 8 Day 8 of 84 Tuesday 11, 2010

Today was an off day so I did yoga first thing in the morning and went for a short walk for my 30 minutes of activity. My weight has dropped down from the gain of the weekend showing that it was blip. I was at a business function with food brought in. I generally ate well except my sweet tooth got the better of me and I had some pastries. I am not going to beat myself over that slip.

TC 8 Day 9 of 84 Wednesday 12, 2010

Today I was traveling on business so I did not hit the gym. I did manage to get in some yoga and also a walk. I tried to eat well getting lots of fruit, oatmeal, raisins, and eggs at breakfast. I was in another business meeting and they brought in lunch. So I got eggplant wraps, salad, fruit etc. to keep lean. I had preplanned snacks of almonds and an apple when I was driving. I got home in the evening and had a great nut loaf and green salad from the fridge. CG is away so in addition to being lonely I am also eating leftovers. Fortunately she left me good left overs. Weight went a bit with the travel but within normal variation of 1 kg. Gym tomorrow.

Great job with planning your meals in advance when travelling!!!
